The position is based in Washington, MO and reports to the location Environmental Health and Safety Manager.

Under the direction of the Environmental Health and Safety Manager, this position is accountable for:
Essential Job Functions:
Develops and execute management systems designed to ensure the plant is in compliance with all Arconic, Local, State, and Federal environmental regulations.
Coaches and provides mentorship to departmental leadership in the execution of their EHS accountabilities.
Provides technical expertise in new equipment/facilities development by actively participating in Project Environmental Safety Health reviews, audits, and internal self-assessments.
Analyses data and reports necessary for corrective / preventive actions and gaps.
Assists with development and implementation of EHS policies and procedures of Arconic.
Participates actively in investigation of environmental incidents to assist in identifying root cause and provides recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Coordinates and/or performs environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up
Preparation and submission of required reports and associated recordkeeping
Lead and manage air, water and waste permitting activities and compliance.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution;
Minimum 3 years of environmental experience;
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Environmental experience in a manufacturing setting
BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or Environmental Management
Knowledge of applicable Federal and State EHS related regulations and procedures.
Strong communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving and human relations skills.
Ability to make difficult decisions with sometimes an incomplete set of data.
Safety training, orientation, risk analysis and ability to assist with safety and health activities in plant.
Critical skills include: execution, attention to detail, initiative, conflict resolution, customer focus, collaboration, building ownership and commitment, developing others, establishing and direction, drive for change, tenacity, getting organization support and tenacity.
Other Details: Relocation assistance provided. Expected travel is less than 5%.
