St. Mary's Good Samaritan Team Leader - Clinical Documentation in St. Louis, Missouri

Role Purpose:

Under general supervision of the Executive Director of Care Coordination, the Team Leader for CDI is responsible for strategic planning and facilitating the CDMP program for SSM St. Louis 5 adult hospitals. This includes collaboration with clinicians, coding, physicians, and RN to ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation. Team Leader provides oversight to supervisors of CDMP program and is actively involved in employee engagement, auditing, and program development/improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete supervisor staff performance evaluation, coaching, and counseling

  • Provide instruction and oversight to ensure guidelines and workflow process are followed for all 5 adult hospitals

  • Accountable for department metrics, results, analytics, and action plan development for Network CDMP department.

  • Participate on committees such as network medical management committee and actively participates/facilities programs from a SSM St. Louis perspective. Collaborates with System CDMP Directors regarding best practices and improvement initiatives

  • Provide CDMP staff, supervisor, physician advisor and senior leadership feedback regarding CDMP program

  • Formulate action plans based on CDMP data

  • Develop short term and long term strategies for the Network Clinical Documentation Program

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSN Required

  • Current RN license

  • 3 to 5 years of RN Clinical Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of Supervision Experience

  • Organization, analytical, writing and interpersonal skills. Experience with computer, email, Word, Excel, Power Point

  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and CDMP documentation strategies. 2 to 3 years of experience with CDMP program.
