This position is in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Oncology. This position is for the Medical School Campus.

Essential Functions

A postdoctoral position is open immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Bose at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. The Bose lab uses organoid culture techniques to study colorectal cancer and breast cancer. Cancer genome sequencing on both of these cancer types have identified the HER2 receptor tyrosine kinase as a key druggable target and the Bose lab performs functional studies on blocking HER2 signaling in these cancers. Techniques used include organoid culture, 3 dimensional cell culture, small scale drug screens, next-gen cancer genomics, molecular biology and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. degree in cancer biology, cell biology or cell signaling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background in cancer research or related fields.
  • Experience with complex tissue culture methods, such as three-dimensional cell culture.

Salary Range

Base pay commensurate with experience.
