This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

This position is in the Department of Medicine, Division of Oncology. This position is for the Medical School Campus.
A postdoctoral position is open immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Jason M. Held at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. The interdisciplinary position will focus on studying cancer biology with an emphasis on discerning how NADPH oxidases utilize reactive oxygen species and redox signaling to promote tumorigenesis and transformation. Techniques include cell-based and in vivo assays, DNA cloning, CRISPR/Cas9, and functional studies as well chemical biology, proteomics and analysis of large ‘omics datasets using Python/R/etc.
The appointee has earned a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent terminal or doctoral degree in cancer biology, redox biology, NADPH oxidase biology, or redox signaling.
- A strong background in in vivo and in vitro cancer assays, molecular biology, and rodent biology is essential.
- Prior experience in redox biology, LC-MS based proteomics, chemical biology and informatics/programming (P ython, R) isn’t required, but interest in pursuing these techniques is essential.
Base pay commensurate with experience.
