Department Name/Job Location This position is in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology. This position is for the Medical School Campus. Essential Functions Postdoctoral Research Associate position in bone marrow failure and cancer research in the Hematology Division at Washington University School of Medicine. The Batista Lab is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to study the role of DNA repair, RNA stability and telomere maintenance on human disease and cancer, using human pluripotent stem cells and targeted differentiation approaches as a model (Fok et al Stem Cell Reports 2017; Fok et al Blood 2019; Munroe et al Hepatology 2020; Shukla, Jeong et al, Blood Advances 2020). This project will likely involve Chip-Seq, single-cell RNA-Seq, CRISPR genome editing, and human stem cell differentiation assays. The PI will help the postdoctoral research associate develop their career by providing a highly interactive and exciting research environment and by encouraging the preparation of research papers, application of fellowships, and participation at national and international meetings. Required Qualifications * Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Salary Range Base pay commensurate with experience.
