Essential Functions
The Jackrel Lab is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to join our lab. Research in the lab focuses on protein folding and misfolding using yeast, pure protein, and cellular models of disease with a primary focus on neurodegeneration. Specifically, we are studying the effects of chaperones and disaggregases on protein aggregation and aberrant phase transitions. Please see https://sites.wustl.edu/jackrel/ for more information.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. graduates in biochemistry, biophysics/structural biology, cell biology, genetics, neuroscience, or a related area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with mammalian cell culture (particularly neuronal), structural biology, and/or pure protein biochemistry.
- Applicants with more senior experience may also be considered.
Salary Range
Base pay commensurate with experience.
