This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week.

A postdoctoral position is available at Washington University in St. Louis to study the biology and application of ultrasound sensitive ion channels. The group (P.I. Jianmin Cui, website: https://research.engineering.wustl.edu/jcui/members.html) investigates the mechanism of ultrasound sensitivity in ion channels and function of these channels expressed in brain, heart and other tissues. The study is part of a multi-lab effort supported by NIH to develop a noninvasive tool for neural stimulation with high spatiotemporal precision.
Motivated and enthusiastic individuals with a recent Ph.D. training in neuroscience, physiology, biophysics or biomedical engineering are welcome to apply. Candidates with backgrounds in electrophysiology, biophysics, and ultrasound physics/technology are encouraged to apply. The position is available immediately with the yearly renewable contract.
Base pay commensurate with experience.
