HydroGeoLogic, Inc Document Control Specialist in St. Louis, Missouri
Currently, HGL is seeking a Document Control Specialist to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
working with engineers, hydrogeologists, project managers, civil surveyors, and other technical staff in preparing technical documents and reports.
Organization, communication, and coordination skills will be essential to efficiently produce quality outputs, while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent tasks.
Products will primarily be associated with remediation activities including soil excavation, site infrastructure, utilities, and waste management.
Understanding of environmental activities will be required to ensure development of reports to contract and client requirements.
Must be able to execute multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
Local travel in the St. Louis area and vicinity will be required.
Required skills include excellent communication and organization; working with and maintaining confidential information; strong technical writing and documentation; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; and working under detailed quality assurance/quality control programs.
Proficient technical writer and editor of technical reports. Ability to work and coordinate activities of quality control staff, technical reviewers and project teams.
A minimum of six years' experience performing the duties of a Technical Editor/Documents Controller is required.
Experience on projects for Federal Government and knowledge of USACE requirements is preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in English or related field of study.
Masters' Degree in English or related field of study.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite.
A pre-hire drug test is required. You must be in good physical condition and able to work standing for several hours while using office machines, such as copiers of filing, and should be able to lift up to 30lbs as need to move items about the office. Some positions require U.S. citizenship.
