Job Type/Schedule

This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week.

Essential Functions

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chemical Biology/Neuroscience

The Mirica group in the Department of Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a postdoctoral research associate for a one-year position. The postdoctoral associate will be part of a research team working on an NIH-funded project aiming to develop novel therapeutic and diagnostic agents for Alzheimer's disease. The candidate will be responsible for conducting biochemical, cellular, and in vivo assays needed to evaluate the developed chemical agents. In addition to their independent research project, the postdoctoral research associate will also aid in the mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.

Required Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Research experience in chemical biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or neuroscience is highly desirable for this position.

Salary Range

The hiring range for this position is commensurate with experience.
