General Summary:

The Batch Maker is responsible for manufacturing, by blending raw materials according to formulation and process instructions and packaging.

Essential Functions:

  • Measure materials with calibrated scales throughout the plant

  • Operate a variety of mixing/blending equipment across plant floor as needed.

  • Maintain and clean plant facilities, i.e. plant floors, storage areas, mixing/storage tanks, hoses, pumps, etc.

  • Follow established company rules and regulations, safety precautions, and maintain quality standards.

  • Follow established company Quality System Procedures and Work Instructions.

  • Fill and package drum, tote, pail and bulk containers from bulk storage or production tanks.

  • Determine proper inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods.

  • Organize various packages for shipping and warehousing.

  • Materials are moved throughout the plant via forklifts, dollies, fork lift pickers, etc.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 1 year of related experience

  • Possess good mechanical aptitude

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to be forklift certified

Physical Requirements:

This position is located in a chemical plant. Frequent use of eyes and hands are required in performing actual repair and maintenance. This position requires the incumbent to frequently stand, walk, reach, stoop, lift, carry, hand-grip and bend.
