The Boeing Company Associate Test & Evaluation Laboratory Technician in St Louis, Missouri
The Boeing Company is recruiting for Associate Test and Evaluation Laboratory Technicians to join the Engineering Remote Labs team in the St. Louis, MO . The Lab Technician will work with small integrated teams of engineers and technicians that support all aspects of aircraft and weapons testing including but not limited to the following specialties areas:
Air Vehicle Instrumentation: fabrication, install and testing
Chemical Processing: chemical plating and waste water treatment
This position may require employee to utilize fall protection since they could be working 4 feet off the floor. Positions with fall protection require candidates to weigh 250 pounds or less as verified with Boeing medical.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports activities to plan, conduct and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies
Designs systems, materials, components, software and methodologies to meet customer requirements
Participates in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures and test systems
Supports the coordination of test requirements and assists in reviewing test methods and capabilities
Facilitates systems integration, fabrication and modification; supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and posttest tear-down
Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results
Troubleshoots and recommends resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems
Works under general supervision
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Experience in laboratory operations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in electrical engineering
1+ years of experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems for aircraft programs
1+ years of experience in a chemical coatings/galvanic and/or a plating environment
Experience in military flight operations or military avionics technician experience
Experience soldering
Experience with electro-mechanical design and machine controls
Experience with chemical processes
Experience communicating and working in a group/team environment
Troubleshooting experience
Experience with various types of hand held power tools
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
