Apex Systemsis looking for aQC Analytical Chemistin theSTLarea!We perform pharmaceutical analysis within a challenging, fast-paced cGMP environment. The work is interesting and varied as testing is performed on multiple products using UCP and client methods, we test hundreds of different products annually.The QC Chemist is responsible for accurate and timely testing of pharmaceutical dosage forms utilizing cGMP guidelines. The QC Chemists will be required to prioritize their workload to meet the required testing timelines for the various products. We offer two work shifts for our employees. The first shift is Monday -Friday from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM and the second shift is Sunday Thursday from 3:30 PM until Midnight.Conducts stability testing for pharmaceutical products. The following tests are normally required: assay, dissolution, and impurities/degradant and the instrumentation (HPLC, UPLC, Dissolution Baths, UV-Vis). Additional instrumentation is required for specific products (GC/FID, AA, FT-IR, Fluorometry).Executes USP and customer supplied analytical test methods.Conducts method technology transfer protocols for customers.Identifies and reports all OOS results immediately to Quality Assurance. Participates in OOS investigation and additional testing if required.Desired Skills, Education, and ExperienceRequires a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science 4-degree in chemistry or closely related scientific field.Requires a minimum of 5 years related industrial experience with proficiency in the use of analytical instrumentation.Experience in a cGMP / FDA regulated environment is highly preferred.Pharmaceutical finished dosage form analytical testing is preferred.Requires strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word).Empower Software proficiency is highly preferred.Must possess strong mathematical and analytical skills.Must be able to demonstrate flexibility in responding to unexpected demands.
