Responsible for coordinating and monitoring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations as well as accrediting body standards through review of records, patient test results, audits, etc. Maintains appropriate records (reports, documentation, procedures, etc.) as required by regulatory agencies.
Responsible for quality management activities including internal audits, quality procedures and processes, as well as metric management (MDI boards, dashborad, and scorecard development preparation and presentation)
Blood Bank: Interprets applicable governmental and accreditation standards and regulations pertaining to operations in Transfusion Medicine and the collection, processing and storage of blood products.
Develops appropriate QA monitors in coordination with supervisors and coordinators. Collects data, monitors safety events, reviews problem data (SEMS).
Monitors recalls and alerts from vendors through the electronic system. Maintains appropriate records of such events.
Maintains appropriate reports, documentation, procedures, etc. as required by federal, state and other regulatory agencies.
