St. Louis College of Pharmacy is currently seeking an Instructional Support Specialist for the department of Pharmacy Practice. The instructional support specialist will assist faculty and staff in the use of academic technologies and other administrative tasks for courses delivered by the faculty in the department of Pharmacy Practice.You'll have the opportunity to:The Instructional Support Specialist position provides instructional and academic technology support for faculty and staff in the department of Pharmacy Practice.This person will collaborate with instructional designer(s) and Pharmacy Practice faculty to build and update course content within the College's learning management system.This person will contribute to various projects related to instruction and instructional technology support.This person will act as tier 1 support for department faculty and students who have questions or issues related to the use of academic technology in Pharmacy Practice courses.Responsibilities include assisting with course content preparation and learning management technology assistance and administering exam services with online exam technology.Other duties as assigned.To succeed in this role, you will need:Bachelor's degree preferred. Associates degree or high school diploma with equivalent experience accepted. Minimum of two years' instructional support experience in a similar work environment, preferably in higher education.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong Word, Excel and Access skills. Experience with Outlook and learning management systems, such as Moodle, Blackboard, and Canvas, is strongly preferred.Experience in creating interactive content in Camtasia, or similar product.The ability to accept responsibility and the ability to work without supervision is required. Must be self-motivated and highly organized.Should maintain a professional appearance, have an outgoing personality and a helpful attitude toward students and faculty.Written and verbal communication skills are required.
