The laboratory, located at Purina World Headquarters in St. Louis, MO, offers comprehensive testing services for nutrients, contaminants, microbial pathogens and quality indicators.You'll be part of our top-tier team of recognized industry leaders in food and feed testing - a team that has pioneered techniques for analysis of vitamins, amino acids, pesticides, carbohydrates and preservatives. We'll leverage your unique experience to support the basic research, technical applications, and production for Purina brands globally. Are you up to the dare?PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESConduct and document a variety of tests based on standard operating proceduresModify published test methods based on information in technical publications for implementation as standard operating proceduresConduct and document non-routine tests, based on published proceduresSchedule testing to meet client needs consistent with published service timesPerform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair advanced analytical lab instruments such as GC, HPLC, GC/MS and UPLC/MSValidate methods as outlined in standard operating proceduresMaintain laboratory notebook or other required documentation in order to comply with quality guidelinesPerform complex sample preparation techniquesProvide technical training to internal team members and act as a technical resource to internal and external customers.Perform all other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications: B.S. in Chemistry, Food Science, Food chemistry or related.5 years experience of chemistry laboratory experience in an academic or work/lab environmentPreferred Qualifications: M.S. in Chemistry, Food Science, Food chemistry or related.1 years experience with Amino Acids prep and analysis by Waters UPLC in an academic or work/lab environment1 years experience working with contaminants - pesticides by LC/MS and GC/MS- in an academic or work/lab environment1 years experience with Fatty acids prep and analysis by GC, GCMS in an academic or work/lab environment1 years experience working with Vitamins prep and analysis by LC and LC/MS in an academic or work environmentTo our veterans and separated service members-you're at the forefront of our minds as we recruit top talent to join Nestl Purina.
