The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Developing and implementing improvements related to safety, quality, service, and cost (productivity) supporting graphic films and other divisions.
Assisting local and global manufacturing teams on rapid resolution of issues and complaints; including root cause analysis, timely response, communication and implementation of corrective actions
Leading efforts on scale-up of new products and work on cross-functional teams
Using Lean Six Sigma and Value Stream Improvement tools to drive improvements
Developing training, process standards, and other documentation supporting the operation
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an Engineering, Science or Math disciplines (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
One (1) year co-op or work experience in a private, public, government, or military environment in one or more of the following areas: process engineering, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, process development, quality, laboratory, and manufacturing
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Six Sigma or Quality Improvement training/certification
Experience working on a cross functional team
Excellent project leadership skills
Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation
Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/international
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
