Refresco (Food and Beverage) Lab Technician in Maryland Heights, Missouri
This position's overall purpose is to provide quality finished syrup according to production schedules in a timely manner to ensure no interruption to the operations along with storing concentrate and confirming correct batching ingredients.
Batch syrup and maintain syrup inventory.
Receive sugar loads both rail and tank truck.
Operate blending units to effectively initiate flavor changes, startups, and shutdowns.
Perform CIP on filling equipment.
Run Microbiological test to validate the effectiveness of sanitation.
Perform all required lab control tests, at the frequencies prescribed by the Cott Quality Manual.
Calibrate all lab equipment and standardize all solutions.
Receive and store incoming concentrates.
Operate and maintain water treatment.
Maintain settings manual on lab equipment.
Individual Production Reports filled out daily.
Test machinery calibration must be adhered too.
Receipt of all raw goods, including powders, liquid sweeteners, C02, and concentrate.
All appropriate paperwork must be maintained and turned in at the proper intervals.
Work to achieve and maintain no less than 99.5% conformance to spec.
All lab personnel to become cross-trained in all areas of lab functions, including line testing, setting up and maintaining blenders and carbo-coolers, batching, sanitation, and micros.
Any other duties as assigned.

Lift 60 pounds.
Ability to learn on the job.
High school or equivalent education
Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to master the necessary math for the performance of the position.
