Aerotek Microbiologist in Kansas City, Missouri
Microbiology testing for GLP (good laboratory practices) studies.
Support for development and topical and hard surface cleaning and sanitizing products for the dairy farm and food processing industries.
Conduct germicidal efficacy tests.
Prepare and make media.
Prepare and maintain bacterial cultures.
Establish maintenance and calibration schedule for ph meters, balances, thermometers and incubators.
Issue weekly reports on testing.
Comply with all SOPs and GLP requirements.
Follow up and correct and safety concerns.
The Microbiologist position will work within a team of microbiologists to schedule, test, and report Technical Service Requests submitted in support of multiple DeLaval functions. Primary responsibility is to provide microbial testing services for the development, registration, and support of DeLaval surface sanitization and disinfection products. They will also conduct microbiological testing services and input as requested by the milk extraction equipment development team and offer advice and testing services to the Technical Service field personnel for the diagnosis and resolution of customer and field complaint issues. They will need to work with the GLP-ISO Quality System to provide testing for product registrations; this will involve bringing new methods under scope as needed
