The Physician Practice Technology Learning Design Professional 2 uses instructional design, cognitive psychology and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap. The Learning Design Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Physician Practice Technology Learning Design Professional 2 analyzes content, organizes content, designs solutions, and writes storyboards, scripts, performance support, mobile learning and manuals. Analyzes learning needs and partners with subject matter experts to provide input for course content. Writes effective learning objectives and coordinates performance assessments to measure training effectiveness. Ensures course materials are current and relevant to training needs. Tracks and analyzes the training programs effectiveness by examining learner's satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement.
Plans, coordinates, and implements all aspects of training programs for participants throughout the organization, including but not limited to instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training. Selects appropriate materials. Creates an environment that is conducive to learning and exchanging information, engages the learner, and produces the desired outcomes. Analyzes course evaluations in order to judge effectiveness of training sessions and to implement suggestions for improvements.
Knows how to utilize collaborative tools to facilitate learning. Uses consultative skills to commit projects and conduct needs analysis with clients to determine whether learning solutions are necessary or relevant. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Scope includes learning designing and facilitating for physician practice technology including electronic medical records systems, referral and authorization systems, imaging systems and others.
Two or more years of experience designing training materials for EMR users for use in-person, virtual, and computer based self-paced training.
Two or more years of experience facilitating training for EMR users.
Expert level knowledge of leading EMR solution.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows 10, Office 365 and modern collaboration tools (Webex, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
Strong technical aptitude.
Ability to complete eClinicalWorks Train-the-Trainer certification within 6 months of employment.
Ability to travel 0 – 50% (based on project assigned) as needed to work locations within US.
Experience with project and process management.

In-person training occurs at practice locations. Practices are located in Orlando, FL, Kansas City, KS/MO, Greenville, SC and Gastonia, NC. Proximity to a practice location is required. While not delivering in-person training or on-site assessments, associate will work from home.
