The Pharmaceutical Development group at Catalent is responsible for product innovation, development, process refinement and improvement. This means everything to developing prototype formulation batches to in-process testing and the packaging of prototype stability supplies. What we do is vital to achieve Catalent’s future growth strategy and maintain relevance within the biotechnologies market.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Performing physical characterization of excipients and APIs
Attending Client Meetings with the Lead Scientist to support the client/provider relationship as necessary
Assisting with the manufacture of prototype formulation batches
Conducting in-process testing as necessary
Packaging prototype stability supplies as necessary
Maintaining documentation in accordance with good documentation practices and Pharmaceutical cGMP compliance
Learning the functional use of various Pharmaceutical Lab equipment and instruments
Developing a basic understanding of solid dosage product development and the associated process technologies
Ensuring 5S standards are met and maintained
Collaborating with Pharmaceutical Technicians or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Leads to perform job related tasks
Ensuring that all Catalent safety procedures are followed in adherence with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Identifying and communicating adjustments to address potential safety concerns through the appropriate channels
Ensuring the proper use of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
Establishing clear communication to supervisor about project updates, etc.
In order to be eligible for an internship at Catalent, you must meet the following requirements:
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
Must be an undergraduate/graduate student in Science or related field of study
Eligible to legally work in the United States
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for a 10-12-week period over the summer
