THIS POSITION IS TO SUPPORT OUR OPERATIONS at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, 65473.*
Primary Role:* Responsible for managing, auditing and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations, all environmental, health and safety regulations and requirements, and all operational and maintenance processes. Responsible for managing and implementing quality and compliance programs for all facets of the facility’s operations.
Participates in review and evaluation of staff performance related to environmental, health & safety and water operations. Supports the General Manager in hiring and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
Develop, document, provide training and manage the implementation of the Company’s Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Policies. Manage, audit and document compliance within the facility’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Utilize and execute the Corrective Action Tracking Form, as well as all site Environmental Plans..
Develop, document, provide training and manage the implementation of the facility’s Operation and Maintenance Plans, Programs and SOPs. Perform audits, document compliance with these plans and programs, and provide monthly reports on the same.
Manage the maintenance of work records, preventative maintenance records, and water quality sampling records and prepares various reports utilizing the computerized maintenance management and computerized process control system. Perform audits and document compliance with the same.
Accountable for achieving state, federal and local standards for water and wastewater regulatory requirements as well as all applicable environmental regulations.
Manage and lead the preparation of all permit applications, preparation of regulatory reports, provide monthly EH&S and Compliance reporting, and provide support to the same.
Liaison with Military Services Group staff, Base Environmental Department, and other internal and external EH&S staff.
Ability to develop and execute strategic approaches to short and long-term objectives and goals for the facility. Ability to monitor and report on compliance status/progress of the facility’s objectives and goals.
Proactively introduces change into the facility to address emerging issues.
Encourages the effective use of technology to improve facility operations and maintenance.
Institutionalizes the concepts of continuous quality improvement activities, performance measures and benchmarking.
Can clearly articulate complex issues both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical people.
Ability to plan, coordinate and supervise the work of an employee.
Ability to plan and present EH&S training to employees.
Ability to interact with colleagues, direct reports, governmental agencies, consultants, contractors, and the general public.
Computer literacy. Competent in the use of word processing and spreadsheet programs, and computerized maintenance management systems and computerized process control software.
Financial analysis skill, including budget management and basic accounting knowledge.
Extensive knowledge related to management and compliance of water and wastewater systems and processes.
Broad working knowledge of Federal Clean Water Act, NPDES requirements, OSHA standards, Safe Drinking Water Act, Clean Air Act, RCRA and other federal, state and local regulations that affect AWE-MSG project operations.
Knowledge of company procedures, policies, and operations.
Knowledge of quality control systems and compliance standards.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in environmental engineering, chemistry, biology environmental policy, occupational health, environmental science, or other related field. Additional qualifying experience or training may be substituted for the degree on a year for year basis.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in water/wastewater industry.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in compliance for environmental, health and safety programs, preference in water and wastewater industry.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the oversight and administration of quality compliance and control programs in the water/wastewater industry.

Licenses & Certifications:*
ASP or CSP preferred.
Industry related EH&S certifications, water and/or wastewater license an advantage.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Travel Requirements:* 5%.
