Job Description:

SUMMARY: The primary responsibilities of this position include: purchasing grain from farmers, developing relationships with farmer clients, promoting Tyson LGS in the farmer community, managing the local purchase to pay process for grain and soliciting new farmer clients for the location.

Specific responsibilities include: communicating with farmer clients, soliciting new farmer clients for Tyson grain operations, conflict and issue resolution on contracting and grading of grain, setting up new vendors in LGS system, managing bids to farmers online, developing programs to promote Tyson LGS in the local farming community, arranging farm direct transportation, managing payments to farmer clients for grain.

REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience. Degree in Ag Business, Ag Economics, Production Agriculture or other related disciplines preferred.

Experience: 1+ years preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required; basic knowledge of programs such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel or Access; knowledge of purchasing programs such as SAP, Agris, Endur or related software a plus but not required.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written and negotiation skills. Ability to speak and present to small and medium sized groups preferred.

Special Skills: Math, problem solving, ability to prioritize and multi-task, analytical skills.
