JOB SUMMARY

The Instructional Designer is responsible for the design, development and evaluation of Clearent training curriculum. This position will create and enhance curriculum by partnering with key stakeholders and vendors to ensure curriculum leverages company initiatives and goals and translates into comprehensive and efficient training. This position will effectively implement training curriculum using various delivery platforms, including instructor led and virtual training methods.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

Develop comprehensive training curriculum that translates into performance and generation of revenue

Collaborate, consult and partner with Clearent leadership, vendors and key project stakeholders to develop innovative, customized curriculum that captures the needs of unique roles

Analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of leadership, consultative selling, product, process and systems training curriculum; serve as creative and planning resource to key project stakeholders

Incorporate adult learning concepts, instructional design technologies and assessment techniques into training curriculum

Provide feedback to other instructional designers and training delivery instructors

Conduct research; organize meetings with leadership and key stakeholders to ensure key business objectives are reflected in training curriculum

Design and develop content for various delivery platforms (classroom instruction, virtual training, individual development sessions, team meeting trainings and performance support tools)

Serve as project lead for each assigned design and development project; participate in the delivery and facilitation to prepare others for each assigned design and development project

Develop and maintain leadership and vendor relationships; anticipate organization needs

Create project plans; anticipate project obstacles and prepare contingency plans.

Demonstrate expert knowledge of assigned projects, development processes and standards

Maintain training curriculum on designated sites

Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Advanced experience and demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office; experience with instructional and/or graphic design tools preferred (i.e. Adobe Design Suite, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline)

Demonstrated knowledge of training methodology, adult learning concepts and instructional design techniques

Demonstrated project management skills

Ability to quickly and efficiently shift gears to meet changing business requirements and adjust project plans accordingly

Ability to express ideas effectively in individual and group settings both in person and virtual; adjusting language or terminology to fit the audience

Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

Ability to analyze and interpret data

Ability to take initiative, make decisions and solve problems while working within assigned deadlines

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism with all associates

Ability to work independently and self-direct

Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner

Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Knowledge of business to business sales and operations

Knowledge of training techniques, delivery methods and adult learning concepts

Experience designing and delivering learning products in various formats including print, graphics, audio, video and animation technologies to support curriculum offerings

Experience with video/audio editing

Knowledge of business principles, selling skills and best practices

Knowledge of Sales CRM software

Knowledge of industry training and instructional design tools and processes

Related Work Experience Number Of Years

Education

Bachelors Degree in Instructional Design, Communications, Human Resources Development, Education or equivalent experience

Specialized training in instructional design technologies preferred
