Golder is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our St. Louis, Missouri office. In this role you will have the opportunity to work as part of a regional team on challenging environmental site investigation and characterization projects. The work entails a variety of office-related and field activities to complete approved scopes of work, document activities, solve problems that arise, and proactively communicate with project managers.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Perform a variety of field and office related tasks including:

  • Subsurface investigation including drilling, geologic/geotechnical logging and environmental media sampling

  • Phase 1 and Phase 2 contaminated site investigations

  • Hydrogeology, landfill design, and remediation

  • Data interpretation and evaluation

  • Prepare geologic and geotechnical boring logs, geologic cross-sections, groundwater contour maps, and isoconcentration maps

  • Perform engineering calculations, cost estimates, data validation, and report preparation

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to plan and execute field programs with knowledge of proper sampling techniques

  • Ability to collect field data and oversee subcontractors, which may require the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds)

  • Ability to work on extended assignments away from the home office location

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline

  • EIT certification

  • Environmental consulting industry experience

  • Experience with software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, GIS, gINT

  • Completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER health and safety training (preferred), with 8-hour refresher updates as applicable
